    The subprogram is programmed for 1 PhD:

    Molecular interactions between a novel Trichoderma sp .biocontrol agent, the host crops and pathogen

    Short title: Trichoderma-plant-pathogen interactions.

    • Objetivos

  • Objetivo General

    • The aim is to identify how a Bolivian biocontrol Trichoderma strain affects Peronospora variabilis patogenicity and plant defence. We aim at identifying components critical for the interaction and how they vary between Bolivian crop cultivars. This will involve a PhD student that will become trained in especially fungal and plant growth systems, and functional and molecular analyses of plants.
  • Objetivos Especificos

    • Specific objective 1: To send the selected candidate to Sweden to do research stage and programed courses for 6 months. And two Master students had been working in the research area.

      Specific Objective 2: Establishment of in vitro plant co-cultivar conditions with the microorganisms involved in this study and study some elicitors.

      Specific Objective 3: Acquisition of the AF4 and minor equipment for Green House and microbiology Laboratory required specifically in the doctoral project and in the Agroalimentary program.
